This story draws attention to the vast difference between the facts, and the lies the Bush admistration tells to "sell" their point of view. It's a shame more "journalists" don't find it necessary to verify the facts and figures.
This article illustrates just how far jingo fever has gone, when even political opponents will not question such a belligerent foreign policy that is not in America's interest. Somehow, it has become a political "third rail" to take issue with our "big brother" relationship with Israel. The tragedy here is that lasting peace in the region is impossible without a more objective position by America; as we are the true power brokers, and unwavering support for Israel only strengthens extremests on both sides.
This is an important issue that deserves more attention than it is getting. The article provide a good introduction to a far more detailed and elaborate debate, that needs to happen soon.
Yes, the story is relevant to one of today's more important global issues. It presents the reader with some of the many "other" clean energy technology alternatives, not commonly discussed today.
There is a clear intent to bias the reader by the language used as much as facts and statements presented. In the end, the conclusion may be correct, but as a reader, I feel I've been forcefed.
Though I agree with the author's point of view, I don't feel that the reasons for dividing electoral votes were well presented. This story is important to our democracy, and not enough attention is being paid to this issue nationally. Here we go again!!!
