Very well written. No drama, no hyperbole, just the hard, cold facts of life for a shockingly large percentage of our population. Facts that should be known by everyone in the U.S.

Good writing on a provocative subject, but the article doesn't delve far enough into what this all really means to the average Internet user. More insight into HOW these issues will affect our ability to use the Internet would have been nice.
Typical story by a conservative paper which reduces a complex man, issues and situation into nice soundbytes its conservative readers can use to buttress their beliefs that only airy-fairy, "elite" liberals are interested in Obama, and then, only as a means of self-gratification. And THEN, only cus he's one of the "good ones." Which is REALLY what the story is about..how HONEST conservatives are being when they trivialization/reject minorities as compared to how dishonest liberals are.
This article requires a VERY close reading. Yon is saying a great deal more than just "The Main-Stream Media Have Got It All Wrong." He says that the war in Iraq is not as bad as it's being made out to be. He is NOT saying that all is well. But I had to read the article carefully to get that. Not sure why, as Yon is usually above "spin" and vagueness, but there were several times when I thought, " Hold on a minute, I need to go over this again." I read/support him because he seems ... Thoughtfully written article about the Craig situtation from an anti-gay viewpoint. The writer gets his points across without the hysterical vitriol that usually accompanies a Conservative's writing about homosexuality.
Very well written and supported piece about teh past, present and future benficiaries of the housing debacle. Take the time to read the comments as well.
An excellent piece that should be a "must read" for anyone even remotely affected by Islam, and that's all of us. No hyperbole, cant, or hysteria. Just well written, well sourced "you-are-there" journalism. Well done NG.
This response to Patterson's book needs more "bite" and a more aggressive tone. What Patterson is saying should be roundly and vehemently torn to shreds. It's not enough Patterson tries to silence those who disagree with him and his buddies (It's unconstitutional!!), he also has the unmitigated gall to state, as a fact, that those same people (and that includes me, bucko) are aiding and abetting the enemy because we disagree with him? What exquisite nerve! And the BEST critics of ... More »
Not good at all. This piece takes an unsupported suppostion - Carter, because of his liberal, Christian beliefs, was indirectly the cause of the the Fall of the Shah of Iran - presents it as fact, then proceeds to use THAT "fact" as support of the rest of the conclusions presented by the story. Very poor journalism.
This war's Ernie Pyle produces another well-written dispatch. I appreciate Yon's willingness to put his life on the line for the story and that he presents the story without hyperbole. it is what it is.
Well written, measured piece about a situation that gets little press attention. There is a definite need for more of this as the debate about the war and our non-military work in Iraq goes forward.
Well written story and the author manages to avoid making the Indian works' plight sentimental. As another reader has noted it would be hard to feel much sympathy as the jobs the Indians are having problems with USED to be here in the U.S.
