Web Developer
NewsTrust is looking for a part-time web developer to help write our code and develop our site, on a freelance contract basis. Summary The web developer is responsible for the development of key functions of our site, such as search, sign-up or review forms. This includes technical design, HTML web page development, scripting in JavaScript and Ajax, Q&A testing, maintenance and documentation. The web developer will also be asked from time to time to upgrade existing sections of our site. Our technology platform for this beta site is Web Crossing, a popular online community server, which supports server-side JavaScript and Ajax, as well as its own template language (WCTL). Responsibilities Required Skills & Experience Preferred This is a part-time, freelance contractor position, reporting to NewsTrust's Technology Director. You will work from home and use your own computers and online connection, on a flexible schedule. We will give preference for this job to active members of the NewsTrust community, who already participate regularly and have reviewed a range of stories on our site. Compensation based on experience, qualifications and industry rates. |
